Montalbert
From winter season 2015/2016 onwards there is an improved connection between the village of Montalbert and the rest of the Paradiski ski area. This improved connection is due to a completely new gondola that can take 46 persons from Montalbert (1350 m) to a 1976 m elevation every minute. A new restaurant with panoramic view is located at the top of the gondola.

Montalbert is a charming little village in traditional Savoyard style. The village is one of the ten stations of the big ski resort that goes by the name La Plagne (Paradiski, French Alps). The village is located at a 1350 m elevation, which makes the village very accessible. Within the village, there is a small supermarket, multiple bakeries, deli’s and four great stores for outdoors equipment for skiing, hiking and other outdoor activities. Montalbert also provides plenty of characteristic restaurants and cafe’s.
All of the above can be found on a walking distance of the chalet, including the gondola. Hiking trails surrounded by trees and parts of the 18 km long cross-country skiing trail are just as close. Montalbert has its own ski school, which is part of the ESF: it is a child-friendly school with some English speaking teachers. Bigger supermarkets can be found in bigger villages in the valley, such as in Aime (10 km) and Bourg-Saint-Maurice (25 km). Restaurant ‘Le Forperet’ is highly recommended: it is situated right next to the ski slope and is also accessible by car and foot. There is a free shuttle available between the village and the restaurant in the evenings.
La Plagne
La Plagne is a big, sophisticated ski area that provides opportunities for everyone. The area has a big range in altitude; the lowest point lies at an elevation of just 1250 m, while the glacier is located at a massive 3170 m. This big range makes for a very diverse skiing area that can suit everyone’s wishes and needs. La Plagne contains peaceful green slopes through the forests, wide blue slopes, but also provides plenty of exciting and challenging red and black slopes.

Additionally, there are plenty of possibilities for those who want to go off-piste, and there are also some snowparks for those who wish to pull off or practise their nicest tricks.
La Plagne is a component of the bigger Paradiski skiing area, that has an astonishing 425 km of groomed slopes. This makes it one of the biggest ski areas of the world. Les Arcs, the other component that makes up Paradiski, is accessible through a big gondola. Paradiski is guaranteed to have snow because of snow cannons that are spread throughout the area.
There are multiple ski plans available for those who wish to come to Montalbert. Possibilities include:
